I earned my Certified Financial Planner\u00ae designation in 1996, the Accredited Financial Counselor\u00ae designation in 2011, and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor\u00ae appointment in 2021. <\/p>\n<p>Coming from a union family background, I recognize that retirement planning is a journey that starts well before retirement age. It involves contributing to your employer-sponsored retirement plan, preparing for educational expenses, evaluating Social Security and insurance options, and effectively managing debt through prudent financial practices. I play golf and regularly attend classic car shows to admire the muscle cars of the 60\u2019s and 70\u2019s.
