There is no “one-size-fits-all” solution to retirement investing. That’s why the IBEW Local Unions Savings & Security Plan offers a broadly diversified array of investment options. The plan investment options are carefully selected and monitored to provide the flexibility to respond to changing markets, investment objectives, and life circumstances.
The plan offers five Elite Index Portfolios in addition to the core fund options that you can select from to suit your needs.

The program offers five risk-based portfolios with different blends of fixed income and stock funds to meet the changing objectives of retirement investors over their lifetimes. Core fund options
The core fund options listed below, feature low annual expenses with no upfront or withdrawal charges,* allowing you to put more of your money to work for your future. This diversified menu of funds spans a wide array of investment types and asset classes, providing the ingredients to construct an investment portfolio to pursue virtually any investment objective. You can determine your own fund mix, or you can use Scarborough’s Model Portfolios to help you diversify your account according to your individual risk tolerance. Self-Directed Brokerage Account
In addition to the investment options listed above, the plan offers the opportunity to invest in additional mutual funds and other investments such as stocks, bonds, certificates of deposits (CDs), and exchange traded funds (ETFs) through a Self-Directed Brokerage Account inside the IBEW Local Unions Savings & Security Plan. The Self-Directed Account uses the Charles Schwab brokerage platform.
*An annual asset-based fee will apply, as well as other internal expenses and fees of the funds.
